Almost all vehicles have a differential, which compensates for the different speeds between the wheels of an axle. The off-road differential lock offers several advantages and makes driving on difficult terrain safer.

The great advantage of this system is represented by the fact that the vehicle, in normal road traffic, it runs with the free differential, thus avoiding premature wear of the wheels or the risk of sudden engagement of the block.
Off-road, when the situation calls for it, the lock can be activated, effectively to 100%, in a tenth of a second by simply pressing a button (arming and disarming with vehicle stationary). Assembly does not present major difficulties as you work on the original axles by replacing only the differential box.

How the ARB Air Locker works

The compressor releases the pressure needed to block the differential and is usually installed in a suitable position within the engine compartment. The compressor is switched on automatically and is used to always keep the pressure necessary to engage the differential lock constant. The switches, fixable on the dashboard, allow you to activate and deactivate the locking. Engagement can also take place with the vehicle running thanks to the type of annular piston applied to the differential, but a reduced speed is still recommended. When the device is deactivated, the compressed air comes out of the solenoid valve and small springs open the safety ring, thus freeing the differential.
The compressor is set up with three outlets: Air Locker posteriore, front and inflation kit.
