Some batteries can provide enormous starting power. Others withstand a large number of discharge cycles.
The revolutionary “ODYSSEY” battery is designed to provide both thanks to its technology.
E’ composed of flat sheets using the 99,99% of pure virgin lead and no lead alloy. Pure lead plates can be thinner, therefore you can insert a greater number of them in a battery.
In fact, the “ODYSSEY” batteries are capable of delivering starting pulses higher than 2250 Amp per 5 seconds, therefore double or triple compared to a conventional battery having the same dimensions, even at low temperatures.

They can endure 400 discharge and charge cycles exceeding 80% of discharge. This combination of extreme power and performance makes ODYSSEY batteries the perfect choice for a wide range of applications: automotive, marino, commercial, sporty.

Like many well known spiral wound batteries, ODYSSEY batteries use AGM dry cell technology to contain acid which allows the battery to also be placed on its side. But the flat sheets allow to have a very high number of them and to eliminate the "dead spaces" between the cylinders that occur in the types a 6 packages. The result is: 15% more surface area of ​​plates which means more power !

Designed and built for a life span of at least three times higher.
Thanks to the robust construction and AGM technology, the “ODYSSEY” batteries can last up to 8 – 12 years and once in service their life can be 3 – 10 years.

Before being inserted into the container, the AGM plates are compressed del 28% for extreme resistance to vibrations.
The welded connection of the cells allows them to withstand extreme vibrations, while with AGM technology, acid leaks are avoided even if the battery is installed on its side. In the end, unlike traditional batteries, ODYSSEY can be kept idle up to 2 years and, once put into service, give maximum power.

ODYSSEY batteries are shipped fully charged.
If the voltage is 12.65V or higher, simply install it and you are good to go. If it is lower than 12.65V, charge it by following the instructions in the User Manual and / or the Technical Manual. The connection to a "booster" will not damage them even if the voltage is higher than 12.65V.
