Description

OTA is a carbon fiber engine air intake and filtration kit. The device consists of an oval-shaped carbon fiber airbox containing a cylindrical air filter with dynamic intake.
The OTA kit fully replaces the car's original air filtration system (stock air-box).

Traditionally, the original airboxes of cars operate in conditions in which the air is drawn from the engine “depression regime”, through reduced section ducts, a condition in which the pressure drops along the suction line are high.
The OTA carbon device with dynamic grip acts in “pressure regime”, ensuring a constant and high supply of air to the engine, exploiting the dynamic effect of air pressure.

In addition to its oval shape, which offers high installation versatility, the OTA intake system has internal solutions and technical devices designed to optimize the fluid dynamics of the air directed to the engine. In particular, the innovative element called TRUMPET, placed inside the carbon airbox in the area next to the air outlet, thanks to its geometric shape, favors and maximizes the conveyance of air flow to the engine, with reduction of turbulence. This solution limits pressure losses along the engine intake line, exploiting the potential of the dynamic air pressure generated by the speed of the vehicle in motion.

The air filter contained inside the air-box is made of oiled multilayer filter material which guarantees high filtration efficiency, in the face of limited air pressure losses. The air filter has the function of protecting the engine from all elements (debris, sand, dust, etc.) present in the air flow directed to the engine during the intake phase. The BMC air filter has a pressure drop (that is, a pressure difference between the air upstream and downstream of the filtering device) limited to very low values, to allow maximum passage of air.
The BMC air filter is regenerable and reusable. Reached the saturation level, it is possible to regenerate the filter through a washing and re-oiling process using the appropriate regeneration kit.
