When visiting or going camping, Having adequate lighting is one of the most important elements needed for any trip. Have good bright light, in the right place and not in your eyes, it will further enhance your outdoor nighttime experience. Introducing the new ARB awning and lighting kit, an enhancement to the existing high quality ARB awning range, an LED light strip is embedded in the roof of the awning. Just like in your home, good quality lighting is in the ceiling, not in the walls – so placing the light right where it's needed and not harshly in your eyes is important.

The slim size of the LED light strip makes packing easy. The light can be rolled up with the tent roof after use and not removed, keeping everything together for your next adventure (make sure the junction cable is hanging approx 10 cm from the sleeve). The ARB tent light provides up to 1200 lumens with a choice of cool white or amber color modes and is dimmable via a waterproof digital dimmer switch. Building a high-performance light into the roof came with some challenges. One was to make sure we could get the LED strip small enough and make sure we could keep them cool so they didn't de-rate and dip prematurely. This was achieved by using quality LED chips that can handle more heat than a standard strip light and also by connecting the strip light to an aluminum track for heat dissipation, all sealed in waterproof resin.

Color characteristic: amber mode provides low bug attractor qualities or to provide comfortable late night soft lighting when camping or touring with current draw a 1 amp hour. The light is powered via a fused cigarette lighter plug, with others 4 meters of cable and insulated waterproof connectors, so that the awning with light can be mounted on both sides of the vehicle. Included with the wiring is a convenient case to keep all the wires together when the light is not in use. Assembling the light into the awning is a simple job and is best done once the awning is fitted to the vehicle and has been set to its erected state.

Full instructions are included with the curtain for setting up the light. Once the tent has been attached to the vehicle and erected, you'll notice the clear sleeve in the center of the curtain with openings at either end to insert the strip light and stay for the rest of the curtain's life, this only needs to be done once.

Remember, using the appropriate ARB quick release bracket for awnings, you can now successfully mount the ARB 2.5m awning to any commercial double cabin rack.
