When fitting a differential you will need to set both the pinion height and the pinion preload using shims, There are about the original ones 20 in every range.

Set on 8 thicknesses in each range which can be stacked in different combinations to achieve the required thickness. This shim kit is suitable for Rover type differential, not to the P38 type differential fitted to the rear of the Range Rover P38 or 110.

There are 8 thicknesses in each range, 16 in total, one for each, the thicknesses are 0,05, 0,1, 0,2, 0,3, 0,5, 1,0, 1,5 e 1,9 mm.

Always use as few as possible to achieve the required thickness.

When setting the pinion preload, always fit the thickest shim on the pinion first.

Please note that the pinion height shims supplied in this kit will not fit the very early imperial differential with the oil seal bolted on.
